Born in Pittsburgh and raised in a small town in Indiana, I grew up longing to see the world beyond the Midwest. I graduated with a history degree from Ball State University, not knowing what I wanted to do for a living. After a series of different jobs, I went back to school much later to earn an MBA from Indiana University. Afterwards, I moved to Seattle, where I live with my wife and son as a project manager for UW Medicine.
